Work on scenes, monologue or audition technique.
This unique set of workshops has an action/thought focus based on the science of the brain. Simple and straight forward: no misleading buzzwords or clever theories. You will come to depend more on your own innate abilities as an actor and become less dependant on "methods" or "theories" for acting.

Non-Refundable $100 Deposit required for ALL classes
If a class gets canceled for reasons pertaining to the Studio, a make-up session will be provided - if a student misses a class during the six-week round, there is no guarantee such class will be made up.

Teen Classes: Sundays
These 6-week sessions are designed to create a training environment that is conducive to the way young people learn. The groups have a maximum of 10 students. The classes are age appropriate. Less talk more on-camera time since young people learn by doing not listening. Each student will get on camera twice per class.
Creative and challenging drills have been devised to be directly applicable to an audition or on set situation. They can practice these drills on their own during the week at home. The student will experience the results of hard work and application. Progress can be measured
Teens 13-14 y.o.: Finding Your way around the Camera and into Your Script
Designed for beginners.
Sunday 10am up to 12:30pm
Cost: $316.40+HST
Five-Week Price: $300+HST - Valid only for the class starting February 27th

Teens 15-16 y.o.: I'm not a kid anymore!
Going from a preteen actor into teen roles. Dealing with more adult themes and the beginnings of puppy love type roles.
Sunday 10am up to 1pm

Teens 17-18 y.o.: I'm confused, too many people have been telling me what to do...
Some experience at auditions, on set, and a lot of classes and workshops. Young actors starting to understand their own needs at auditions and on set, but need to sort things out for themselves, and what works and what doesn't.
Sunday 1:30pm up to 4:30pm
Cost: $380+HST, ACTRA $360+HST

Teens 16-19 y.o.: Young Actors in Transition
Class designed for actors who have been successful on teen shows but need to make the transition to adult roles.
Sunday 2pm up to 5pm
Cost: $380+HST, ACTRA $360+HST

Georgina Reilly & Lewis Baumander - Drill Classes
Monday or Tuesday 6pm up to 9pm
Class taught by both, Lewis & Georgina as an introduction to Lewis' approach to the work, with heavy attention payed to "action drills" and creating emotional access through breathing.
Cost: $360+HST, ACTRA $340+HST
Nahanni Johnstone & Lewis Baumander - Drill Classes
Wednesday or Thursday 6pm up to 9pm
Class taught by both, Lewis & Nahanni as an introduction to Lewis' approach to the work, with heavy attention payed to "action drills" and creating emotional access through breathing.
Cost: $360+HST, ACTRA $340+HST
Romina D'Ugo & Lewis Baumander - Acting for Dancers
Time: TBA
Class taught by both, Lewis & Romina that will focus in identifying and breaking problematic thought patterns, habits, and concerns dancers are trained to have, that non-dancers don't necessarily have to deal with.
Cost: $360+HST, ACTRA $340+HST

Payments can be done by CC online (at no extra charge) or over the phone 647-221-4387 or in person mon/fri 10-5 pm (service fee applies).
Cheques payable to Nightsky Productions with remaining balance can be received on the evening of your first class.
How to Register for Classes
In order to take a class with Lewis Baumander, we ask that you first come to audit. Once you have audited and decided that Lewis' approach is one that you wish to continue forward with, then we will get you registered in the class of your chosing.
