Georgina Reilly - Drill Classes
Born in Surrey, England, Georgina Reilly began her professional career at ten years old, as a singer on the popular BBC Children's series Number Time. Outside of school, she participated in summer musical theatre workshops under the guidance of Philip Bateman (Musical Director - Billie Elliot, London production). She also performed leading roles in Youth Theatre Productions of Camelot, Guys and Dolls and Grease. When her family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Georgina continued her musical theatre training and completed her formal education at Havergal College. After graduating she started taking classes with Lewis Baumander and has been consistently studying with him for 5 years.
Her leading & recurring role credits both in Film and on the small screen include Overruled (Family), Valemont (MTV), This Movie is Broken (Bruce McDonald), How to be Indie (YTV), Majority Rules (Teletoon), A Hindu's Indictment of Heaven (TIFF 2009), Pontypool (Bruce McDonald TIFF 2008), Plums & Prunes (TIFF 2007), The Dark Room (CBC 2007), Beautiful People (Sony Television) and Runaway (CW Network).
Michael Armstrong - Voice Class
Michael Armstrong has been working in professional theatre, film and television for fifteen years between Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. His training has seen him through George Brown Theatre School and York University's MFA Acting Program. He has also recently completed the graduate Voice Teaching Diploma at York under David Smukler. Michael has taught consistently at York over the last four years in both the voice and acting areas; he has also been a member of associate faculty at Canada's NationalVoiceIntensive..
David Ferry - Dialects
David Ferry is a successful actor, director, dramaturge and teacher. He has acted in many feature films and TV episodes (GENIE actor nomination), and is an award winning actor and director in the Theatre (2009 best actor DORA). His most recent on camera work includes Boondock Saints II (the Boston detective "Dolly") and a series regular role on the new CTV series Dan for Mayor. He has worked on and off Broadway, in L.A., at Stratford and across the country. He has a collection of Canadian Dialects out on CD called "Canajun, Eh?" and has taught dialects in theatre schools and for film and theatre productions. He has acted with a number of dialects himself over the years including a variety of USA accents. His approach to dialect will be through scene work, integrating the needs/objectives of the character with his or her locality sound wise. He will focus on five USA accents to help the actor be able to audition with confidence for American locale specific projects.
David Tompa - Unscripted Acting
David Tompa has been a part of the industry in Toronto for 8 years. He has run workshops for The Toronto International Improv Festival, Starz Animation as well as various schools around town. He has coached actors for auditions over the last 5 years. David has an extensive resume as an actor and a director both, on camera and on stage. David was also with The Second City Touring Company for 2 years, helping create the show Panic, Everyone's Doing It. He has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Orlando FoolFest, The Toronto International Improv Festival and has performed in over 10 shows at Bad Dog Theatre. His next directing projects are: Something Red (Doghouse Riley) and The Shape of Things (Volition); his upcoming acting in feature films: The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard and The Shrine.
