Working Actors Update
Georgina Reilly is now a regular on Murdoch Mysteries and is currently in LA shooting Highland Gardens. Nahanni Johnstone has worked on Lost Girl and an episode of The Kennedy's. Dewshane Williams is shooting Break Through (a new web series), The Story of Luke, and is back for a reprise of his role Dr. Fred on Being Erica. Ben Watson is shooting the role of Tariq on Highland Gardens. Steven Yaffee will be doing the role of Billy and will understudy for Albert in the Tony award winning show War Horse at The Princess of Wales Theatre, he also filmed Ep 13 of Combat Hospital as PFC George Lowen and has finished shooting the upcoming film A Fish Story in the lead role of Billy. Jon Cor most recently finished working on several episodes of Being Human, he also appeared on an episode of NBC's Suits, he has voiced seven episodes of Teletoon's Island as Brick and concluded the season on the UK-based series Beaver Falls. Shamier Anderson has finished shooting the thriller film The Barrens, has also worked on Todd And The Book Of Pure Evil, and Degrassi. KC Collins continues his ongoing role of Detective Hale on Lost Girl. Kristina Pesic also did a role on Lost Girl and finished shooting the movie Please Kill Mr. Know It All. Sidney Leeder will appear on Salem Falls, and an episode of Highland Gardens. Holly Deveaux, after doing Flashpoint, Breakout Kings and the short-film Wake Me Up this summer, has worked on the MOW Silent Witness and the film The Phantoms. Ellen Wong finished six episodes of Combat Hospital and will be shooting the film The Harvest in New York this fall. Former students Shane Kippel and Jacob Kraemer were also on Combat Hospital. Torri Webster and Nathan McCleod continue to film Life With Boys. Austin Macdonald as well has been cast in a recurring role in Life With Boys and just finished filming another episode of The Rick Mercer Report. Tanisha Thammavongsa joined the union having done an episode of Lost Girl. After Romina D'Ugo was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series for her role in the movie Turn The Beat Around, she worked on the MOW Silent Witness and is now shooting a regular role in the second season of King. Lindsey Greenwood and Fenulla Jiwani got parts in Lost Girl. Megan Anderson is working on My Babysitter Is A Vampire. Jason Spevack, after working on Being Human, Murdoch Misteries and the short film Oliver Bump's Birthday, has been cast as Dylan in the upcoming series Cracked. Emily Stranges just fnished shooting the film Torment. David Guthrie will be seen in an upcoming episode of Mayday. Alyssa Capriotti landed two roles; one in Flashpoint as Jessica and the other on Heartland as Reporter and Megan Anderson can be seen on stage at the Citidel Theatre in Calgary in the production of The Sound of Music. There are many others who have started their way up the casting ladder by doing independent shorts and features.
